Living Conditions
Each intern will live with a Peruvian or Chilean family. In most cases the majority of family members are Christians who are involved in one of our local churches in the Cusco or Tacna area. Most of these families are of the middle- to lower/middle- income bracket (based on Peruvian standards). The living conditions will be comfortable, but in most cases are relatively “cramped” based on U.S. standards.

Most of the interns’ ministry responsibilities are carried out within the local church to which they are assigned, under the supervision of the local pastor and the supervising missionary. They gather together on a regular basis (usually weekly) with other interns as a team and with supervising missionaries and pastors for fellowship, cultural orientation, and debriefing.
